What Yamaha Say:
Irons that generate more carry. Even more advanced version of the “plus-one” irons optimized for flight distance and gentle feel.
Features & Benefits:
- Thin Sole & Face – Advanced materials have been selected allowing Yamaha to make the Face thinner and hotter, while reducing the Sole thickness to only 1.2mm! The saved Weight is strategically repositioned for better Stability and easier Launch.
- Deep Pocket Cavity – Utilizing a more aggressive cavity than its predecessor the RMX 220 has a lower and deeper CG location, allowing more optimized Launch conditions with added Stability.
- Toe-Weighted – Yamaha have addressed MOI by uniquely adding more Weight in the Toe area of the club. This shifts the CG location more towards the center while dramatically increasing Stability on miss it shots.
Our Recommended Player Profile:
The RMX 220 is aimed at the mid-to-high handicap player looking for maximum Forgiveness and good distance. Although designed with the higher handicap in mind this club has surprisingly clean and compact looks, making it very pleasing to the eye of even a lower handicap player.
