What TaylorMade say:
The all-new M1 driver takes multi-material construction to the next level to deliver distance, forgiveness and complete personalization. Featuring a new 6-layer carbon crown and additional carbon toe panel, the 2017 M1 driver has 43% more carbon than last year’s model. The additional focus on multi-material construction saves weight to enable lower CG for better launch conditions and allows for an expanded T-Track for improved adjustability.
TaylorMade engineers relied on proven internal acoustic management techniques and modified them as necessary to meet the demands of new materials and shaping. The result: the re-definition of best-in-class sound by controlling vibration and pitch at impact. Combined with external performance technologies, TaylorMade has delivered maximum distance and forgiveness through multi-material construction and complete personalization for every swing.
Features & Benefits:
- New T-Track - Allows for more movable weight than its predecessor, making it more stable and allowing for greater fine tuning.
- Ultra Lightweight Loft Sleeve - Now with a total of 4 degrees adjustability in loft the new lighter sleeve allows for a total of 12 settings.
- Multi-Material Construction - A 6 Layer weave in the crown allows engineers to reduce the weight further than before, ensuring a higher MOI (Forgiveness Value). This is fitted to a titanium body for maximum performance.
Our Recommended Player Profile:
The new M1 Driver is best suited to the stronger swinger due to its low launch and spin properties. As a result of the lower spin it is generally also better suited to the lower handicap player looking for more workability. The slightly slower swinger and higher handicapper will enjoy the more forgivin, easier to launch M2 driver.
