As part of Sime Darby’s commitment to developing women's golf in Malaysia both at the youth and elite level, it has partnered with MST Golf to train the country’s brightest golfing talents at the Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (KLGCC) Golf Academy.

The Sime Darby LPGA Development Program is an intensive 12-week programme designed to provide performance training for elite women golfers in Malaysia and prepare them for the local and regional qualifying events on the challenging KLGCC East Course for the Sime Darby LPGA tournament. This Program is a holistic program designed around 4 key areas: Physical, Mental, Technical and Strategy.

The top two finishers in each event will earn a coveted spot in the US$1.9 million LPGA tournament. While the 72-hole stroke play no-cut event features a world class field including the likes of world No.1 Yani Tseng, it offers a unique experience for promising Malaysians to test against the very best.

With the inclusion of golf in the 2016 Olympic Games, Sime Darby, together with MST Golf, the Malaysian Ladies Golf Association (MALGA) and the Malaysian Golf Association (MGA), sees this programme as its long term commitment towards developing home grown sporting champions.
